It can be concerning when your tracking information doesn't update as expected. However, this is usually normal and doesn't mean your package is lost. Here's why tracking may appear "stuck" and what you can do.
💡 Please allow up to 72 hours after your order ships for tracking information to become active and start showing updates. Tracking systems need time to sync across different carriers.
Common Reasons for Tracking Delays
1 Initial Activation Period
When we create a shipping label, tracking may show as "label created" or "pre-shipment" for up to 72 hours before the first scan appears. This is completely normal.
2 Package in Transit Between Facilities
Packages often move between sorting facilities, warehouses, or countries without being scanned. Your package can travel for several days without showing updates.
3 International Customs Processing
For international orders, packages may sit in customs for days without tracking updates. Customs processing times vary by country and are outside our control.
4 Carrier System Delays
Sometimes carrier tracking systems experience delays in updating. Scans may be batched and uploaded periodically rather than in real-time.
5 Handoff Between Carriers
When packages transfer from one carrier to another (common for international shipments), there may be a gap in tracking updates during the transition.
6 Peak Season & Holidays
During busy periods (Black Friday, Christmas, etc.), high volume can cause delays in both shipping and tracking updates.
What Should I Do?
- Wait 72 hours: If tracking just started, give it time to activate.
- Check different tracking sites: Try tracking on both the carrier's website and third-party tracking sites like 17track.net.
- Be patient with international orders: Customs can cause significant delays without tracking updates.
- Calculate the expected delivery window: If you're still within the 7-15 business day delivery window, the package is likely still on its way.
When Should I Be Concerned?
Contact our support team if:
- Tracking hasn't updated for more than 7 consecutive days
- Tracking shows an error, exception, or "returned to sender"
- The expected delivery window (7-15 business days after shipping) has completely passed
- Tracking shows "delivered" but you haven't received the package
⚠️ Contact us if you haven't received any tracking information within 6 business days of payment. We'll investigate and provide you with updated information on your order.
Tips for Better Tracking
- Save your tracking number and check it periodically rather than constantly
- Sign up for carrier email or SMS notifications when available
- Use tracking aggregator websites for international shipments
- Remember that tracking is an estimate, not a guarantee of exact location
