Why was my order split into multiple shipments?

Understanding split shipments and how to track multiple packages from a single order.

4 min read

If you've received notification that your order is being shipped in multiple packages, don't worry – this is completely normal and often done to ensure you receive your items as quickly as possible. Let us explain why this happens and how to track each shipment.

📦 Split shipments do NOT incur additional shipping costs. You'll only pay the original shipping fee regardless of how many packages your order is divided into.

Why Orders Are Split

There are several reasons why we may ship your order in multiple packages:

Different Warehouse Locations

Items in your order may be stored in different fulfillment centers. Shipping from the nearest warehouse to you reduces delivery time.

Stock Availability

Some items may be ready to ship immediately while others are being restocked. We send available items first so you're not waiting longer than necessary.

Package Size & Weight Limits

Carriers have weight and size restrictions. Large orders may need to be split to comply with shipping regulations and prevent damage.

Product Safety

Fragile or hazardous items may need separate packaging to ensure they arrive safely and comply with shipping regulations.

How to Track Multiple Shipments

When your order is split, you'll receive separate tracking information for each package:

  • Multiple emails: You'll receive a shipping confirmation email for each package with its unique tracking number.
  • Order status page: Log into your account to view all tracking numbers associated with your order in one place.
  • Track each separately: Use each tracking number on the carrier's website to monitor individual package progress.

⚠️ Packages may arrive on different days. Please check all tracking numbers before contacting support about missing items – your item may be in a shipment that's still in transit.

What If an Item Is Missing?

Before reporting a missing item, please:

  • Check all tracking numbers to confirm all packages have been delivered
  • Wait until all shipments have arrived (packages may come on different days)
  • Review your packing slips to verify which items were included in each package
  • Check with household members or neighbors who may have received a package

If all packages have been delivered and an item is still missing, please contact our support team with your order number and details of the missing item.
